I really have more in common with asian girls than anyone else and sometimes I think I should have been born either Chinese or Japanese...This is the third phone I've covered with crystals, pearls, gems and random cute trinkets. Unfortunately, the photos don't capture the true brilliance of the crystals, but I'm sure you get the point ;)
Here's a tip if you ever plan on turning your current, in my opinion "offensive" and boring black or grey phone into a one of a kind masterpiece: I only use good quality stones which I buy in surplus (still not inexpensive) because they shine brighter than diamonds, where as the lower quality stones are dull at best. It's definitely worth every cent...I mean look at it...It's so pretty, I could just eat it!
MATERIALS USED:
-Thick, pinky-white nail polish to cover the desired area.
-Good quality glue.
-Tweezers.
-Toothpicks.
-Good quality crystals in different sizes (Swarovski).
-Large gems or flat backed trinkets.
This is stunning, i've covered a few of my phones in swarovski's and my current phone is blinged out but i've still yet to add trinkets!! Thats my next target.

ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to do this to my phone for ages, but I have a sidekick and they're already quite fat.
I've looked into buying the clip on cases but they make them about twice the thickness.
THere are places who do them for you, but I don't want to leave my phone with a stranger for days!
Maybe I should try it myself...? For now I have a huge dangly Sanrio my little twin stars charm with lots of bows, plastic and metal stars in all different pastel colours! hehe

ReplyDeleteBefore Christmas my best friend, my sister, and I went downtown and bought the crystals so we could do this to our phones. Then we all got busy with Christmas and holiday stuff and never actually blinged our phones as we had planned. I still have all the stuff so now I am feeling especially inspired (all thanks to your GORGEOUS phone!) to get my phone done. I have never thought of adding trinkets but it turned out sooo cute on your phone so maybe I will have to incorporate some in....
