Because there are so many prettier ways to store your jewelry than a plain old wooden jewelry box!
...
Though these aren't my photos, I use similar unexpected items to store and display my jewelry. Pastel leveled cake plates, antique teacups, milk glass canisters and pretty designer boxes (like those a Chanel, or Christian Dior accessory comes packaged in) make for a beautiful jewelry storage and display.
Slowly collect different pieces by shopping flea markets, estate sales and garage sales and over time your dresser, boudoir or wherever you keep your jewelry will transform into a delicate and feminine area where you can showcase your jeweled treasures.

This is EXACTLY how I store mine!
ReplyDeleteI have various tea cups (new and antique), a 3 tiered cake stand, and bowls and plates, as well as some ceramic containers which look like cakes.
I want to get some of the crocheted donuts and cupcakes eventually, too. So cute!
lovely pictures x
ReplyDeleteI love milk glass. My mom passed away in 2006 and she left me her collection of milk glass, all 32 pieces. So pretty. So feminine.
ReplyDeleteI really like the cake plate idea.
ReplyDeleteI'll be on the hunt to find one to add to my existing jewelry storage.
I love finding new ways to use pretty things! :)
