BANGS. YAY OR NAY?

I haven't had my hair cut in over three months and need a little sprucing up. My layers are starting to look heavy and  are disappearing.
The problem is, I'm super picky about my hair style, that's why I color my own hair...I haven't left once salon satisfied with the color of my hair when I let a stylist do it.
When I lived in Shanghai, I paid around $1 for a hair cut and style and was always satisfied! I SO miss getting my hair done in China :(
I did some research and luckily one about a half hour from my city, there is a large Asian community.  I looked online and read reviews to try and find a good Asian salon. I made an appointment and am going to get my hair cut and styled tomorrow, yay!
I'm not sure if I should cut thick Asian style bangs or just have them re-cut my layers and leave long farrah style, whispy bangs.

I posted four photos of three styles with bangs that I like.
Tell me which photo you like :)

  1. I like the first pix...it will allow u to have options with your style...or maybe try that style first and gradually cut your bangs.

  2. I've always LOVED those thick bangs. I think they look so chic. I say if you can pull them off, GO FOR IT! That'll spruce you up. You definitely have to post pictures when you're done.

  6. They're all awesome. I'll agree with the other comments and say #1 though. You can definitely pull of bangs, but I wonder if you'll regret getting them as we're approaching summer..? I feel like they're better in cooler weather. But they're so damn cute!! let us know how the appointment goes! :D

  7. I like #1...so cute <3, and it's most versatile. When you get sick of the straight across bangs, you can't really change it until they grow out. However, with the first picture, you can push it to the side, or you can can acheive the straight across bangs (the bangs will just be more wispy than the other pictures). Maybe I think the first girl's hair is the nicest because she's also the cutest, haha!

  9. i think that the first picture would look the best on you. they're styled in a way that is more versatile and show that they have movement. the last two styles are cut very blunt and just sit there. #1. so cute! i might try it too :p

  13. Beautiful styles! I love the first one... I think the wispier bangs are more versatile, so you can change them based on your mood or activity for the day :)

  16. first one most definitely! leave them wispier, which I think it more suitable for spring/summer, and thicker blunt bangs for fall winter! plus if they are wispier and slightly longer, they will be easier to manage in the heat of the summer if you need to pull them off your face :)

  17. I'm a hair stylist. And though, bangs are definitely in, I say play it safe and go for the style in the first photo. You can always add more later. If you can be versatile with your part, like no crazy cowlicks or anything, and can move it from side to side, you might want to try a bang that is shorter on one side and angles down longer on the other side. When you where your hair on that side your bangs will show, when you part your hair the other way, it covers the bang and looks more like just a long sweeping side bang. Your stylist should know how to do that if you ask for it. Just a suggestion.

  20. I really love the first picture, I find it's the type of bang that would suit you best. It looks "blendable" into the rest of your hair so you could technically move it to the side and go bangless!
