MY MUST HAVE BEAUTY PRODUCTS

It's Monday, but I have a reason to be smiling! 

I'll be leaving for vacation, mid week! A group of best friends and I are going to Honolulu, Hawaii for 5 days! It's going to be an absolute blast and a well deserved getaway for all of us! Follow me on Facebook and Twitter so I can update and chat with you:) 

This weekend I started semi packing, or at least started organizing things I will be taking with me. I thought it would be helpful and fun to show you the products I swear by and use everyday! 

Some products I love an couldn't be without  are CHI, Cover Girl, Chanel and Swedish Skin. A friend of mine swears by the line Swedish Skin and turned me onto it. I've tried many different skin care lines but can honestly say Swedish Skin is my favorite and proven line, by far. The line is unique in that, the ingredients found in the products are stem cells extracted from Swedish apples. The apple stem cells react with the stem cells in your skin to keep a youthful and healthy glow.

Why does Mr. Louboutin have to create the more irresistible shoes I thought only existed in my dreams? 

I'm feeling weak at the thought of everything I could/ would wear these with!

I guess I'll just have to add them to my never ending wish list :(

AN UNUSUAL DAY IN THE LIFE OF ME

What was supposed to be quick, half day in the office followed by a drive to LA for an afternoon of business plans, followed by a quiet evening out for dinner and a few cocktails, turned out to be so much more fun and random than anticipated! 

*You can tell by this candid shot of a frazzled me and my STUFFED trunk that this day was a little more hectic than planned*

When I arrived in LA around 2pm I stopped for a quick bite and take away sweets from my favorite gourmet market/ cafe, Bottega Louie. I chose a mini Italian salami baguette and a side of fresh marinated shrimp salad. I carried out some adorable baby gummy bears and a baby blue, bow tied bag of chocolate/ peanut butter pretzel balls. 

LA Live in Downtown LA has some amazing happy hour specials. Surprisingly a restaurant called The Farm of Beverly Hills had the best drinks made with fresh juices. The Strawberry Lemonade and Grapefruit Martini were delish :) 

There was also a nice patio attached to "The Farm" where we lounged, people watched and admired the skyscrapers. 

We were approached by a ticket scalper who was trying to sell tickets to a private interview and concert for 150 people for John Mellencamp. Though I would have loved the opportunity, at the time a concert just seemed so far from what we had planned. 

We finished our drinks and were approached by the scalper once more, when he told us that he wasn't able to sell the tickets and offered them to us... Yep! I was very excited! We ran next door and made it in just in time!

The private concert was totally intimate and amazing!

Mellencamp ended his mini show with "Small Town"!

Definitely a WOW moment!

"LUNCH" BREAK

I stopped into Nordstrom today on my lunch break to have a link taken out of my watch, and was caught off guard by these bright neon babies. Im in love with them and the price point is totally reasonable. At under $300 I think I can justify investing in a trendy handbag that will likely go out of style in a couple seasons. 

Though I was able to exhibit some self control by holding off on the neon Halston, I did find the cutest little pink pyramid cut stone ring by Juicy Couture. 

So cute and made my Monday a little easier ;)

Did anyone notice these amazing wedges in Glamour's newest issue? Typically I'm super picky about shoes, the shape and style of heels in general....I just love these though.

It's Monday, let's hope this week flies by!

I had a great, super busy weekend and am ready for more fun plans and reunions with special people in my life this coming weekend!

My new favorite piece is this monochromatic, unstructured, shoulder-padded cropped jacket I saw Elin Kling wearing in her blog a month or so ago. I didn't realize it was from H&M, but should have known...and SO inexpensive at $19.95. I opted for a size 10 so that it fits extra loose and "hangy".

 Also, My hair is getting long enough to braid :) I loosely flipped out my bangs and layers with a large barreled curling iron and Haphazardly braided the back...

Lately I've been loving these things...


Spending time in down town LA on rooftop hotel bars. The skyline and sunsets are amazing! 

The JW Marriott in downtown LA has the most beautiful atmosphere and delicious drink menu. I love running errands, shopping and stopping for a cocktail before heading home. 

Revolving belt sushi bars! (Especially when all plates are only $2) It's fun to sample sushi that sometimes you wouldn't otherwise have tried.

Wearing either LOTS of necklaces or LOTS of rings.
