MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL...

Remember the baroque style mirror I was in search for to hang above the shelves in my bedroom?
Well, I finally gave in and splurged on this pricey mirror from Neiman Marcus...
NOT!
Common, I think you guys know my style a bit more than that by now!
Though it's a beautiful mirror, I think it's so much more rewarding to find that piece you've been searching for at a flea market for pennies in comparison...than to spend hundreds of dollars on something I could refinish to how I like it...
I scored this antique mirror at a flea market a few weeks ago for $15!
I loved the shape (even more than the one at Neiman Marcus) but hated the color.
All I did was remove the mirror and prepped the frame for some spray paint action.
I chose a high gloss white.
*Note: I would get two cans of paint. One is just about enough, but for a super high gloss look, giving it an extra few rounds of sprays really does the trick.
I think it's PERFECT!
What do you all think?

  1. Looks great!!!!!! Girl after my own heart. If I love a vintagey look I go try and reproduce it myself. I will never find the mirrored furniture that I want in a thrift store though..

  11. I totally love it! It's so beautiful. In Germany you don't find any nice pieces on the flea market, just really ugly things. :(

  29. I love how you managed make the antique mirror look so good, plus your little interior design section is very nice.

I've been tempted to buy an antique mirror because of it's rustic/antique look and they are usually significantly cheaper than purchasing a brand new mirror of my desire.

BUT, I can't get over my superstitious self and prefer to paid the premium for a brand new mirror.

I love your interior work and style.

I would to see more of your home interior designs in the future.
